City of Reno … Two Great Applications … And Then There’s Jan

The big question is the City of Reno looking for a qualified candidate for Planning Commissioner or to reward a mayoral campaign donor - as Jan MacKenzie is to Kathleen Taylor.

There are two really strong applications for the Reno City Planning Commission.

And then there’s mayoral candidate Kathleen Taylor’s campaign contributor, bestie and girlfriend, Realtor Jan Mackenzie — who, in most of her social media posts, refers to her husband as “the man of my dreams.”

Part of Jan McKenzie’s weak application for the Reno City Planning Commission seems to rest largely on the fact that she’s a real estate agent. Apparently, that’s supposed to qualify her to help make major planning decisions for the City of Reno.

Now there’s an independent thinker. 🙄

Because when it comes to choosing someone to help make important planning decisions for the City of Reno, surely being politically connected is much more important than independent thinking.
